In the final quarter of 2020, the wellness app category witnessed varying degrees of user engagement and download rates in the United Kingdom. Data sourced from Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the performance of the top five wellness applications across both iOS and Android platforms.

Calm, a popular meditation and relaxation app, showed a strong revenue trend with figures peaking in October at approximately $218K before a gradual decline to $162K by year-end. Downloads were highest in October with over 41K but saw a decrease to around 38K by December. Weekly active users started at roughly 349K in early October, experienced a dip in November, and recovered to approximately 329K by the end of December.

Another key player, Headspace: Sleep & Meditation, also saw its highest revenue in October, at about $157K, with a slight decrease to $147K by the end of the quarter. The app's downloads spiked in mid-October at about 36K but stabilized to around 22K towards December. The number of weekly active users showed a promising increase from approximately 343K to 403K in late November, before settling at around 389K in the final week of December.

The trend for Sleep Cycle - Sleep Tracker was slightly different, with revenue starting at around $31K and peaking at nearly $37K in late December. Downloads for the app maintained a steady pace, hovering between 10K and 13K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users saw a peak of 180K in late November, with a slight drop to 161K by the year's end.

I Am Sober had modest revenue numbers, starting at just under $1K and surging to $1.7K in the last week of December. The app's download figures showcased consistency with numbers ranging from approximately 8K to 11K. Weekly active users climbed steadily from 90K in late September to over 109K by the close of December.

Intellect: Create a Better You, despite not generating revenue, had an impressive download surge in mid-October with over 16K downloads, which then normalized to around 4.6K by December. Its weekly active users mirrored this pattern, peaking at 20K in mid-October and then decreasing to just over 10K by the end of the quarter.
